Job summary

BNY is seeking a Product Owner for the Investor Solutions Platform focusing on the EMEA Core Record Keeping team, based in Manchester. You will define and prioritise the product backlog, drive value through stakeholder collaboration, and ensure delivery of features with robust documentation and specs.

The role requires agile experience, strong communication, and leadership to guide the team, manage risk, and continuously improve the user experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and work closely with the development team to ensure successful delivery of the product.
• Manage the product backlog and near-term roadmap ensuring it is refined, prioritised and groomed.
• Own user stories, refinement process and stakeholder management; write specs for minor features and contribute to major feature specs.
• Negotiate implementation, make trade-off decisions to launch high-quality products.
• Escalate to management as necessary.
• Identify and triage issues with features, understanding interrelations and complex problems.
• Define measurement and instrumentation for product analysis post-release/launch.
• Partner with manager to recommend next steps for features.
• Assess the quality of existing processes to improve user experience.

Job Responsibilities

• Owning user stories, refinement process and Stakeholder Management (ongoing collaboration and updates) Writing specs for minor features and contribute meaningfully to specs for major features.
• Negotiating the implementation of current work, make the right trade-off decisions to launch products in a high-quality manner.
• Escalating to management as necessary.
• Identifying and triaging issues with specific features, whilst understanding how multiple features are interrelated and catch more complex problems.
• Defining proper measurement and instrumentation for a product to analyse results post-release/launch.
• Partnering with manager to make recommendations on the right next steps for the feature.
• Assessing the quality of existing

processes to make recommendations on how to improve user experience.
