The role is responsible for providing day-to-day financial management and operational support to the senior Fund Operating Officer and Fund Manager of ESR Europe's active real estate funds (the "Funds") and asset management mandates (the "Mandates"). The incumbent will be involved in a broad range of financial and commercial activities, interacting internally and externally with various professional disciplines, including fund administration, financing, taxation, legal, asset management, and software management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investor reporting and liaison
- Manage quarterly investor reporting processes, including performance reports for the Investment Committee and investor updates.
- Ensure compliance with FCA and other regulatory reporting requirements.
- Handle ad-hoc investor communications, presentations, and financial performance reporting in accordance with LPAs, side letters, and asset management agreements.
- Prepare ad hoc investor financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with obligations in LPAs, side letters, and asset management agreements.
Financial Operations- Coordinate with the corporate finance team to ensure debt facilities and investment structures comply with fund terms and are tax-efficient.
- Arrange and oversee subsidiary board reviews, ensuring subsidiaries meet investment structuring objectives.
- Monitor and report on real estate and equity investment valuations.
- Manage fund forecasting processes, analyze variances, and implement remedial actions as needed.
- Oversee tax compliance and reporting obligations.
Cash flow and treasury management- Monitor and manage cash flows and investment KPIs.
- Maintain relationships with bridge facility providers.
- Monitor foreign exchange risk exposures.
Risk Management Framework- Maintain an effective risk management framework, reporting quarterly to the Risk Management Committee on key metrics and compliance.
- Update procedures in collaboration with the Committee and other Fund Operating Officers to ensure compliance with the firm's business plan.
Requirements:
- Qualified accountant, or equivalent, or CFA experience.
- Experience with European real estate funds, cash flow management, financial control, property management systems, IFRS, financial risk management, private equity principles, and performance measurement.
- Strong communication, analytical, and presentation skills in English.
- Knowledge of European real estate fund structures.
