Job Overview:

The role is responsible for providing day-to-day financial management and operational support to the senior Fund Operating Officer and Fund Manager of ESR Europe's active real estate funds (the “Funds”) and asset management mandates (the “Mandates”). The incumbent will be involved in a broad range of financial and commercial activities, interacting internally and externally with various professional disciplines, including fund administration, operations, financing, taxation, legal, asset management, and software management.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Investor reporting and liaison:
    • Manage quarterly investor reporting processes, including performance reports and presentations for the Investment Committee and investors.
    • Ensure compliance with FCA and other regulatory reporting requirements.
    • Handle ad-hoc investor communications, presentations, and related matters, including financial performance presentations.
    • Prepare ad hoc investor financial reports.
    • Ensure compliance with obligations in LPAs, side letters, and asset management agreements.
  2. Financial Operations:
    • Collaborate with the corporate finance team to ensure debt facilities and investment structures comply with relevant terms and are tax-efficient.
    • Coordinate subsidiary board reviews and ensure subsidiaries operate in line with investment objectives.
    • Monitor and report on quarterly real estate and investment valuations.
    • Manage Fund forecasting, variance analysis, and remedial actions.
    • Oversee tax compliance and reporting obligations.
  3. Cash flow and treasury management:
    • Monitor and manage cash flows, KPIs, and foreign exchange exposures.
    • Maintain relationships with bridge facility providers.
    • Implement risk management frameworks and report quarterly on fund performance, valuations, liquidity, and compliance.
    • Update procedures in collaboration with the Risk Management Committee.

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant or equivalent, or CFA experience.
  • Experience or familiarity with European real estate funds, financial control, property management systems, IFRS, financial risk management, private equity principles, report writing, and European investment structures.

Skills:

  • Ability to work independently and in teams within a matrix structure.
  • Strong communication, presentation, analytical, and financial skills.
  • Detail-oriented, capable of multi-tasking, and working under deadlines.

Success Outcomes:

  • Timely delivery of investor reports.
  • Operation of funds in compliance with LPAs without breaches.

Holidays – 25 days per year plus bank holidays.
