Qualifications

  • 7+ years Corporate Trust or related financial markets experience.
  • CLO/CDO background strongly preferred.
  • Client service/loan operations experience within financial services preferred.
  • Finance/accounting, compliance or reporting background advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Resolve complex day-to-day issues for CLOs and loan portfolios to ensure high client experience.
  • Lead team members in supporting major clients and ensuring requests are executed.
  • Analyse information with strong judgment and provide high‑quality service.
  • Proactively identify business needs and guide clients to appropriate resources.
  • Act as escalation point and contribute to process improvements in client services.

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of VP Client Operations to join our Client Operations team. This role is located in London.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Works with external clients to resolve complex day-to-day issues of the assigned Collateralised Loan Obligations (“CLOs”) and /or loan portfolios to ensure high Client Experience Levels.
  • Leads team members in providing support to major clients in addressing and resolving complex operational and technical issues and ensuring requests are executed.
  • Applies advanced problem-solving skills, judgement, and experience to analyse information.
  • Uses developed communication skills to deliver high quality service to a specialised client base.
  • Proactively assists clients in reviewing potential business needs and directs them to appropriate resources at BNY.
  • Resolves the most complex or non-routine client issues or inquires, as needed.
  • Uses broad understanding of BNY products and services to best propose expanded offerings to clients for front office consideration.
  • Serve as an escalation point for the clients
  • Leads and participates in internal activities and initiatives designed to improve the client experience.
  • Uses knowledge of client services best practices and BNY client needs to help develop process improvements.
  • Provides guidance to less experienced team members.
  • Supports multiple, complex client accounts.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years Corporate Trust or related financial markets/securities industry experience
  • Corporate Trust, CLO/CDO background strongly preferred.
  • Client Service/Loan Operations experience within financial services is strongly preferred.
  • Finance/accounting, compliance/reporting, reconciliation background experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in client service operations and a thorough understanding of industry regulations and standards.
  • AI proficiency in operations workflows desirable
