  • Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of clients' business models, financial performance, capital structures, funding requirements and strategic objectives.
  • Prepare and deliver client presentations, pitch materials, strategic assessments and transaction proposals in conjunction with senior coverage bankers and relevant product teams.
  • Maintain current knowledge of financial institutions sector developments, regulatory changes, market valuations, capital markets conditions and industry consolidation.

  • Coordinate capital markets and financing transactions, including equity and debt issuance, capital raising, recapitalisations, refinancing and liability management, working alongside relevant specialist product teams.
  • Support restructuring and balance sheet advisory assignments, including assessments of capital adequacy, funding structures, liquidity and financial restructuring alternatives.
  • Manage transaction workstreams covering valuation, financial analysis, due diligence, structuring, documentation and execution planning.
  • Coordinate internal and external stakeholders, including clients, counterparties, legal advisers, accountants, regulators and specialist execution teams.
  • Participate in transaction negotiations, senior client discussions and the formulation of strategic and financial recommendations.
  • Ensure effective management of transaction timetables, execution risks and deliverables in accordance with internal governance and regulatory requirements.
Financial Analysis and Valuation
  • Lead the preparation and review of financial models, valuation analyses and transaction-related financial assessments.
  • Apply appropriate valuation methodologies, including comparable company analysis, precedent transactions, discounted cash flow and financial institutions-specific valuation approaches.
  • Analyse financial institutions' balance sheets, profitability, capital adequacy, liquidity, funding profiles and regulatory capital requirements.
  • Evaluate the financial implications of proposed transactions, including capital structure, earnings impact, shareholder returns, capital consumption and potential synergies.
  • Assess alternative financing and transaction structures, identifying relevant commercial, financial and regulatory considerations.
  • Ensure financial analyses, valuation materials and client deliverables meet the technical and presentation standards expected within institutional investment banking.
Team Management and Governance
  • Lead and supervise Analysts and Associates across transaction execution, financial modelling, valuation and client presentation workstreams.
  • Allocate responsibilities, review analytical outputs and provide technical guidance and professional development to junior members of the FIG team.
  • Work collaboratively with M&A, Equity Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets, financing and restructuring specialists to deliver integrated client solutions.
  • Maintain appropriate standards of confidentiality, conflicts management, regulatory compliance and internal risk control throughout transaction execution.
  • Exercise independent judgement in the identification, management and escalation of material transaction, commercial and regulatory risks.
Profile Required
