ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking exceptional academic colleagues with impactful research plans to join our Vice-Chancellor's Fellowship Scheme. This role offers a permanent academic position with support for independent and collaborative research over the first three years, contributing significantly to the university's research profile. ABOUT THE RESEARCH AREA
Join the IDEAS National Evaluation Team (IDEAS-NET), funded by the NIHR and based at Northumbria University. The team conducts interdisciplinary evaluations of health and social care innovations, focusing on organization, delivery, and theory-driven approaches using the NIHR/MRC Framework.
Our work aims to ensure services are co-designed, rigorously evaluated, and effectively implemented, supporting fairer and more effective health and social care. IDEAS-NET is part of the ‘Implementing and Evaluating Care’ Research Peak.
You will be based across departments including Nursing, Midwifery, and Health, and Social Work, Education, and Community Wellbeing, initially at the Coach Lane Campus, relocating to the City Campus in 2027.

ABOUT YOU
Applicants should hold a doctoral qualification and demonstrate expertise in the research area. A research plan including grant activities is required. For Assistant Professor, an emerging publication record and ambitious research plans are expected. For Associate Professor, established leadership and successful research projects are required. All applicants must provide a clear research plan for the fellowship period.

CV should include research/education statements, grants, and publications, highlighting up to four top outputs. Include details of recent grants and top three research outputs.
