Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role in Newcastle Upon Tyne for an Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor in Satellite Engineering. The individual will be responsible for conducting groundbreaking research in the field of Satellite Engineering or Satellite Communication Systems. They will also mentor students, collaborate on interdisciplinary projects, and contribute to the advancement of the university through innovative research and partnerships.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge and expertise in one or more of Satellite Engineering, Satellite Systems Design, and Satellite Communications
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for mentoring and collaboration
• Familiarity with research methodologies and publication in reputed journals
• Ability to develop and sustain independent research programs and secure funding
• Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive academic environment
• PhD in Satellite Engineering or a related field
• Experience in space agency or industry partnerships and interdisciplinary collaborations is a plus
