Job summary

The Church of England invites applications for the role of Vicar at Holy Trinity Poulton Lancelyn on the Wirral. You will provide spiritual and pastoral leadership, lead preaching and teaching, and work with the PCC and staff to guide worship and mission.

We seek a male vicar with biblical conviction, humility and leadership, who can grow disciples and engage local families, uphold our conservative evangelical identity, and foster safeguarding and community outreach.

Qualifications

• Loves Jesus Christ and demonstrates a faithful, godly Christian life.
• Is committed to the clear, faithful and engaging teaching of Scripture.
• Is prayerful, spiritually mature and pastorally sensitive.
• Can lead with vision, wisdom, humility and good listening skills.
• Has a heart for evangelism and engaging the wider community.
• Can encourage growth in discipleship and church life, particularly among children, young people and families.
• Will foster unity and healthy relationships within a congregation holding diverse views on some secondary matters.
• Will champion a strong culture of safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• As Vicar, you will provide spiritual and pastoral leadership for the congregation.
• Lead and encourage staff and volunteers, oversee our teaching programme, preach regularly.
• Lead prayer and work with the PCC and wider church family.
