Job summary

Lichfield Diocese is seeking a friendly and Spirit-filled vicar responsible for St Peter’s and St Martin’s in the Delph. You will lead the church family through inspired biblical teaching, develop members’ skills, and engage creatively with the local community.

Applicants should have at least 3 years’ experience in the Church of England or another Anglican church. This part-time role offers a supportive congregation and a root in the community to encourage prayer and share the Gospel.

Overview

We are an evangelical parish of three distinct churches. The team vicar will be responsible for two churches St Peter’s and St Martin’s in the Delph.

We seek and pray for a friendly, approachable, Spirit-filled vicar with a strong community passion and an orthodox interpretation of scripture. You should be able to lead, and teach by:

  • Deepening our faith through biblical teaching.
  • Developing the skills and ministries of all members of the church family.
  • Encouraging prayer and sharing the Gospel more effectively and widely.
  • Finding new ways, which are creative and vibrant, to connect with our local community.
