Job summary

Thorlabs in Ely (UK) is seeking a Product Assembler to perform final assembly of vibration isolation systems and lab infrastructure products. You will be trained to operate a range of processes and equipment, supporting other assembly tasks and packing for dispatch.

Working hours are Mon-Thu 7:30am-4:30pm and Fri 7:30am-12:30pm. The role requires attention to detail, good communication, and a willingness to support improvement initiatives within the Tables Business Unit.

Qualifications

• Hands-on approach with manufacturing experience.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to work within a team to meet targets.

Responsibilities

• Assemble vibration isolation systems from parts to packed product.
• Accurately kit components and maintain stock accuracy.
• Interpret work orders and assembly instructions correctly.
• Work in a team to hit production targets.
• Process related paperwork accurately.
• Support team leaders with workplace initiatives and cross-training.
• Assist in quality improvement and problem solving.
• Learn and support other assembly/inspection roles within Tables.
