Job summary
Fairview Court is seeking an Activities Coordinator to deliver a thoughtful programme that promotes social interaction and independence for our residents in Bristol. You will assess individual needs and design group and one-to-one activities to enhance quality of life.
Responsibilities include arranging activities within budget, coordinating celebrations, driving the minibus for external activities, creating a monthly resident newsletter, and maintaining up-to-date records and communications in
Qualifications
- Experience delivering a programme of activities for residents or similar groups.
- Ability to assess individual needs and tailor activities accordingly.
- Strong planning, coordination and communication abilities.
Responsibilities
- Thoughtfully devise/arrange appropriate activities within budget.
- Coordinate birthday and special celebrations for residents.
- Assess and meet residents’ needs through leading group activities.
- Be inclusive, creative and cater for residents’ preferences.
- Liaise with staff on resident care and social needs.
- Transport residents to external activities using the minibus.
- Plan and provide exercise/movement to music sessions in the home.
- Produce a monthly resident newsletter using MS Word/Outlook.
- Review and update resident records and communications.
