Job summary

MAXIMUS is seeking a Vetting & Compliance Manager in the UK to lead the day-to-day performance of the Vetting & Compliance team, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery. You will line manage Coordinators, oversee workflows, and support recruitment operations with assurance of compliance clearance.

You will drive data integrity, audit readiness, and adherence to policies while collaborating with DWP, ISO teams, and Clinical Governance to manage risks and achieve workforce readiness

Qualifications

• Experience in vetting, compliance, screening, or regulated onboarding.
• Verifying, assessing, and validating sensitive documents in line with policy.
• Maintain electronic records with data integrity and audit readiness.
• Handling confidential data with strong data protection understanding.
• Follow defined policies and apply requirements accurately.
• Liaise with HR, operations, recruitment to provide vetting updates.
• Experience in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily operational management of the Vetting & Compliance team, ensuring productivity, accuracy, and quality standards.
• Line manages Vetting & Compliance Coordinators with performance coaching.
• Allocate and supervise workflows to meet SLAs for vetting.
• Oversee data integrity, confidentiality, and audit readiness across records.
• Monitor output and address performance issues, backlogs, or risks.
• Ensure processes align with internal screening policies and regulatory requirements.
• Act as escalation point for high-risk vetting matters and provide guidance.
• Support recruitment operations with vetting progress and compliance updates.
• Contribute to timely mobilisation of compliant personnel.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement in vetting and compliance.
