Job summary

Supremesearchspecialists is seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a progressive small animal team in Worthing, West Sussex. This full-time role offers a 4-day working week and an attractive salary up to £80,000 depending on experience, with limited weekend mornings and TOIL.

You will work with a varied caseload using advanced diagnostic and surgical facilities in a modern practice. The ideal candidate is RCVS registered with at least 3 years’ PQE, capable of handling first-opinion

Veterinary Surgeon – Worthing, West Sussex
About the Role

A veterinary practice is seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join its progressive small animal team in Worthing, West Sussex.

This is a full-time position offering a 4-day working week and a salary of up to £80,000 depending on experience.

The role provides an excellent opportunity for an experienced clinician to work with a varied and engaging caseload while benefiting from advanced diagnostic, surgical and imaging facilities.

Weekend requirements are limited to 1 in 4 weekends, mornings only, with time off in lieu, supporting an excellent balance between career development and life outside work.

Salary: Up to £80,000 DOE
Location: Worthing, West Sussex
Schedule: 4-day working week; 1 in 4 weekend mornings with TOIL
Caseload: Varied first-opinion cases with access to advanced and referral-level procedures

About the Practice

The practice is a modern, well-established small animal clinic with a loyal client base and a strong reputation for high-quality clinical care.

Facilities and equipment include high-specification ultrasound, laparoscopic equipment, endoscopy scopes, advanced dentistry facilities, digital X-ray, a comprehensive surgical suite and an in-house laboratory.

The wider clinical team provides access to expertise and procedures including orthopaedic surgery, referral ophthalmology, internal medicine, advanced imaging and regenerative treatments, creating opportunities to manage more complex cases and develop advanced clinical skills.

Dedicated regional emergency provision supports continuity of care outside normal opening hours.

Located on the West Sussex coast, Worthing combines seaside living with excellent access to the South Downs, Brighton and London.

Responsibilities

Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential, alongside a collaborative approach to case management.

The position would particularly suit a Veterinary Surgeon interested in developing advanced medical, surgical, imaging or diagnostic skills while working alongside experienced clinicians and making use of excellent facilities.
