A veterinary practice is seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join its friendly small animal team in Clevedon, Somerset.
This is a flexible part-time position, with 25–30 hours per week available and flexibility around the working pattern. The role includes 1 in 4 Saturdays, with no Sundays or out-of-hours requirements.
A salary of £45,000–£65,000 FTE depending on experience is available, alongside a generous CPD allowance and excellent professional development support.

The practice is a well-established, purpose-built small animal clinic with a bright and spacious clinical environment.
Facilities include a dedicated operating theatre, three consultation rooms, spacious preparation area, separate cat and dog wards and an isolation ward, alongside modern equipment for first-opinion veterinary care.
The clinical team has experience across a range of areas, including soft tissue surgery, BOAS procedures and reproductive health. Nurses are encouraged to utilise their skills, including undertaking Schedule 3 procedures where appropriate.
The practice also works closely with visiting clinicians providing ultrasonography and orthopaedic surgery, allowing a wider variety of interesting cases to be investigated and treated in-house.
Located in the seaside town of Clevedon, the practice offers convenient access to the M5, with Bristol and Weston-super-Mare both within easy reach.
Key responsibilities will include:
Delivering high-quality first-opinion small animal consultations
Performing routine surgical procedures
Investigating and managing medical cases
Developing appropriate treatment plans for patients
Providing clear and compassionate communication to clients
Managing cases independently and undertaking sole-charge responsibilities
Working collaboratively with Veterinary Surgeons, nurses and visiting clinicians
Maintaining accurate clinical records
Supporting high standards of clinical governance and patient welfare
Contributing to the continued development of the practice and clinical team
The successful candidate will be an MRCVS Veterinary Surgeon with solid general practice experience and confidence across routine consultations and surgery.
You should be comfortable working sole charge when required and capable of managing your own clinical caseload effectively.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills are important, together with a commitment to delivering high standards of veterinary care.
