Job Description:

• Ideally 2 years' experience in farm practice.
• Dairy focus includes vet school teaching, farmer training, sheep / cattle AI & embryo transfer.
• Brilliant team of clinicians, Vet Techs, TB vets, approved TB testers, embryo transfer specialists.

We have a new opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a farm animal only veterinary practice in the Shrewsbury area of Shropshire.

• Excellent full-time permanent opportunity including a 1 in 10 OOH rota.
• Practice is an established, successful, and well-equipped farm animal only veterinary practice.
• The role requires confidence handling cases out-of-hours and a solid base of surgical skills.
• Ideally, you will already have at least 2 years’ experience in farm practice.
• The role is interesting and varied with a dairy focus, including vet school teaching, farmer training, product and germplasm export, and sheep / cattle AI & embryo transfer.
• Join a brilliant team of experienced farm clinicians, Vet Techs, TB vets, approved TB testers, embryo transfer specialists.
• Location near the Shropshire Hills and Wales borders with great transport links to Liverpool, Manchester, and Birmingham.
• Vehicle provided or allowance.

Person Requirements

• Degree in Veterinary Medicine or equivalent.
• Registered with the RCVS.
• Ideally 2 years' experience in farm practice.
