Job summary

South Lincs Vet Group is seeking a Hospital Vet to advance internal medicine and emergency care. The role involves hospital care of inpatients, emergency consultations, work-ups and procedures, with handovers at shift changes. The rota is a 4-day block, with options to move to 3 days a week.

Experience in emergency surgery is ideal, but a non-surgical path can be designed. We offer strong clinical support, development opportunities, and a collaborative team culture.

Qualifications

• Veterinary degree and RCVS registration (or eligibility to register).
• Experience in clinical practice with confidence in routine medical and surgical cases.
• Strong communication skills with clients and colleagues.
• Proactive, receptive to feedback and ongoing learning.
• Professional and reliable; able to work independently and in a team.
• Passion for delivering excellent patient and client care.

Responsibilities

• Hospital care of inpatients and emergency consultations.
• Work-ups, procedures, and handovers with the night vet.
• Flexible rota with potential 3-day weeks and additional consulting/ops days.
• Collaborate with the wider practice team to ensure high standards of care.
