Job summary

Forest Vet group in Swansea is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join our established team. You will work across a varied caseload and deliver high standards of patient and client care within a supportive, collaborative practice.

We offer development opportunities, a 40-hour week over 4–5 days (flexible), one Saturday morning every 8 weeks, and a range of benefits to support your wellbeing and career progression.

  • Confident and motivated veterinary surgeon who enjoys working as part of a team and delivering high‑quality patient and client care.
  • Experience in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Continue to develop clinical skills and share knowledge with colleagues to support the clinical culture of the practice.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload.

You’ll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice. You’ll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care and supporting the ongoing development of those around you.

Ideally, we would like a full-time veterinary surgeon working a 40-hour week over 4 or 5 days. However, we are flexible and happy to discuss a working week that works for you, even if less than 40 hours.

  • One Saturday morning every 8 weeks, 8.30am-12.30pm
  • No OOH, no weekends (only Saturday morning) or Bank Holidays - allowing for a great work life balance.

  • A Veterinary degree and registration (or eligibility to register) with the RCVS
  • Experience working in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues
