Job summary

Inspiring Vet Care in Swansea is seeking a qualified Veterinary Surgeon to join our established Forest Vet Group team. You’ll work with a supportive team across a varied caseload and have the opportunity to pursue medical and surgical interests with resources to develop your skills.

We aim for a full-time 40-hour week across 4 or 5 days, with no OOH and no weekend work beyond a single Saturday morning every eight weeks, to support a healthy work-life balance.

Qualifications

• A Veterinary degree and registration (or eligibility to register) with the RCVS.
• Experience working in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues.
• A proactive approach to learning, with openness to feedback and development.
• Professionalism, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• A passion for delivering excellent patient and client care.

Responsibilities

• As a Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload.
• You’ll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice. You’ll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care and supporting the ongoing development of those around you.
• Ideally, we would like a full-time veterinary surgeon working a 40-hour week over 4 or 5 days. However, we are flexible and happy to discuss a working week that works for you, even if less than 40 hours.
• One Saturday morning every 8 weeks, 8.30am-12.30pm.
• No OOH, no weekends (only Saturday morning) or Bank Holidays - allowing for a great work life balance.
