IVC Evidensia UK’s AlphaVets clinics in Risca and Langstone seek a Veterinary Surgeon to join a supportive, growth‑oriented team. You’ll consult, operate and treat, with the option for a consulting‑only role, and enjoy real clinical freedom and ongoing development.

We offer a package up to £75,000 DOE, welcome bonus up to £3,000 and relocation allowance up to £3,000, plus generous holiday, private medical insurance and clear career pathways across primary care, referral and leadership roles.

Qualifications

• Veterinary degree and registration with the RCVS.
• Experience in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases.

Since opening in 1996, AlphaVets has invested heavily in state‑of‑the‑art facilities and we're moving our Risca branch into our new purpose built practice during 2026:

Risca: 3 consulting rooms, digital x-rays, ultrasound, in‑house lab, sterilisation room, and state‑of‑the‑art dental equipment.

Langstone: Recently refurbished with separate dog and cat wards, dental suite, x‑ray/ultrasound, endoscopy, laparoscopy, and advanced orthopaedic and spinal equipment.

You’ll work alongside a dedicated team of 3 Veterinary Surgeons, experienced nurses, and committed reception staff, including RCVS advanced practitioners and surgical certificate holders. We foster a culture of transparency, personal development, and support, ensuring every team member can thrive.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Primary Care Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload.

You’ll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice. You’ll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care and supporting the ongoing development of those around you.

• Full time Monday - Friday 1 day off per week plus 1 in 5 Saturday rota 8am - 12:30pm
