Job description

Amical Veterinary Centre, March, Cambridgeshire, East of England
Salary up to £75,000 DOE plus a welcome bonus up to £5,000 and relocation allowance up to £5,000

Are you a dedicated and experienced Veterinary Surgeon looking for your next opportunity? At Amical Veterinary Centre, we’re proud to be a trusted part of our local community for over 30 years, and we’re looking for a passionate vet to join our friendly team.

Why Choose Amical?

You'll be joining a supportive team of experienced professionals, including two Veterinary Surgeons with special interests in cardiology, imaging, and neurology. With multiple surgical slots available each week, potentially even full-day operations, you’ll have the chance to develop your surgical skills while being supported by local out-of-hours hospitals and referral options when needed.

We actively encourage professional development and would love to support you in growing your own areas of interest within the practice, complementing our skilled vets and nurses.

Our experienced team of Registered Veterinary Nurses run their own consultations in dedicated consulting rooms, ensuring our clients and their pets receive the best possible care.

Our Facilities

We’re proud of our modern, well-equipped practice, designed for efficiency and comfort. Our practice boasts a spacious waiting area and open-plan dispensary, a fully equipped in-house Idexx laboratory, a large digital X-ray room with a separate viewing area, an open-space prep and recovery area, a dedicated theatre with a heated table, multiparameter machines, and a crash trolley, a large multiprobe ultrasound, and a dedicated dental suite and equipment.

Giving Back to the Community

We’re passionate about supporting local charities, working closely with Merrylegs, the RSPCA, and Cats Protection to help animals in need.

Rota Pattern

We offer flexible working patterns that flex with you and your lifestyle. Whether you are looking to flex your rota hours to balance the school holidays, fix to navigate the school runs, or just looking to strike that balance between home and work life, we can offer flexibility that actually works for you.

Working up to 40 hours per week, the rota currently involves working Monday-Friday 9:00am-6:00pm with no out of hours or weekends.
