Fixed-term Veterinary Surgeon - Cambridgeshire
Our client is a welcoming, single Vet practice, managed by a lovely Lead Vet who is soon due to go on maternity leave. They are now looking for a Veterinary Surgeon who may be seeking a bit of stability or the chance to step into a Lead role for a 12-month fixed term period. Situated in a charming market town in the Huntingdonshire district of Cambridgeshire, the practice offers a warm and supportive environment, with a wonderful nursing team made up of one RVN, one SVN, one VCA and one CCA.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Vet who prefers to work weekdays only, enjoying a four-day week and keeping weekends free. You will play a pivotal role in diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide variety of medical cases. Your combination of medical expertise, surgical proficiency, and excellent communication skills will ensure you deliver exceptional care to patients and clients alike. The practice is RCVS accredited and fully equipped with the latest technology, including an in-house laboratory, X-ray facilities, dentistry equipment, and much more.
The successful candidate will be a RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon, or eligible for registration, and confident working sole charge when needed. A client-oriented approach, strong communication skills, and the ability to work closely with a team to help develop the practice are essential.
The location offers the best of both worlds, being a picturesque market town in west Cambridgeshire, nestled on the banks of the River Great Ouse. With excellent transport links and just a ten-minute walk from the local train station, it’s a delightful blend of history, natural beauty, and modern amenities. You can enjoy exploring its historic market square, relaxing riverside walks, and a range of local attractions.
