Job summary

Manor Vets in Cradley Heath, part of Inspiring Vet Care, seeks a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join a supportive team. The role offers a varied first-opinion caseload with flexibility around the role you want to do, and the backing of a wider network focused on clinical excellence and career development.

You’ll work collaboratively with the clinical team to deliver high-quality patient and client care, with opportunities to focus on medicine or surgery as you prefer.

Qualifications

  • UK veterinary degree with RCVS registration, or eligibility to register.
  • Experience in clinical practice with routine medical and surgical cases.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Proactive learning mindset with openness to feedback and development.
  • Professional, reliable and able to work independently or collaboratively.
  • Passion for delivering excellent patient and client care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high standard of patient and client care across a varied caseload.
  • Balance medicine and surgery; consult-only role available if desired.
  • Collaborate with the wider practice team and share knowledge.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Primary Care Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload that is evenly split between medicine and surgery. If you would prefer a consult-only role, we're happy to accommodate that too.

You’ll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice. You’ll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care and supporting the ongoing development of those around you.

Working Pattern

We pride ourselves on offering genuine flexibility to help you achieve a healthy work-life balance. Whether you're looking for full-time or part-time hours, we'll work with you to create a rota that fits your lifestyle.

A typical full-time role is 40 hours across 4 days per week, with a shared Saturday morning rota of 1 in 4 and time off in lieu. There are no out-of-hours or on-call commitments.
