Job summary

Lockwood Vets in Hednesford is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join our small animal team on a permanent basis. The role offers a varied caseload in a sole-charge environment with supportive colleagues and a focus on building strong client relationships.

We provide 15-minute consultations, a busy surgical schedule with neutering and dentistry, and flexible full-time or part-time hours. There are no out-of-hours or on-call requirements, plus relocation and signing-on support.

Salary up to £75,000 DOE

Welcome bonus of up to £7500 (pro rata) & and additional £5000 (pro rata) paid after successful completion of 1 year's service. Relocation support of up to £5000 is also available.

Lockwood Vets, Hednesford is currently looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our team on a permanent basis. This is an exciting time to join us following a period of growth across the Lockwood brand.

How You'll Make a Difference

As a Veterinary Surgeon, you'll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload.

You'll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice. You'll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care and supporting the ongoing development of those around you.

At Hednesford, you'll benefit from a balanced workload with 15-minute consultations, a varied surgical caseload and the opportunity to work up medical cases and emergencies.

  • 15-minute consultations
  • No more than 18 appointments per day per vet on average
  • Daily surgical procedures including neutering and dentistry
  • Dedicated operating time every day
  • Flexibility to accommodate emergency procedures when required
