Job summary

Vets Now Southampton is seeking a part-time Veterinary Surgeon for backshift coverage in our ECC emergency setting. You will join a supportive team, manage second-on-shift duties, and contribute to complex case discussions while maintaining high standards of patient care.

Working out-of-hours doesn’t mean working all hours

In this part-time role, the shifts available include the below on a 4-week rolling rota, plus a fair share of bank holidays.

• Week 1: Tuesday (19.00-23.00), Sunday (18.00-00.00)
• Week 3: Sunday (18.00-00.00)

How many of the available shifts to be worked in the rota can be discussed further. We will try to work around your lifestyle and clinic requirements.

As a backshift Vet you will often work as the second Vet on shift, providing an opportunity to share knowledge and work together on the more complex cases.
