Veterinary Surgeon – Leigh, Greater Manchester
About the Role

A fantastic opportunity is available for a Veterinary Surgeon in Leigh, Greater Manchester, offering up to £75,000 pro rata DOE, a £5,000 welcome or relocation bonus, and no out-of-hours or on-call work.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident small animal vet looking to develop clinically within a supportive, progressive environment. The role offers genuine autonomy alongside an experienced nursing team, carefully managed diaries and strong clinical support.

The position is available for 30–35 hours per week, with a 1:4 Saturday rota and no OOH requirements. Visa sponsorship is available for eligible candidates.

About the Practice

The practice is a modern, purpose-built small animal surgery with a varied and growing caseload. It is RCVS accredited and holds ISFM Silver Cat Friendly Practice status, with further accreditation currently being pursued.

The team benefits from modern clinical facilities and strong in-house diagnostic and case-workup capabilities. There is a loyal client base, with an emphasis on continuity of care and high standards of patient care.

The team is experienced and stable, with several members having developed their careers within the practice. A strong emphasis is placed on employee development, wellbeing and creating a manageable working environment.

Responsibilities

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be a confident Veterinary Surgeon who is comfortable managing routine medical and surgical cases and is keen to continue developing their clinical skills.

They should enjoy working collaboratively within an experienced team while being comfortable taking responsibility for their own caseload.
