An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a busy, established small animal practice in Middleton, Greater Manchester, with the opportunity to help expand the range of services offered to patients and clients.
Salary: Up to £90,000 FTE, DOE
Hours: Full-time preferred, with part-time considered
Typical working pattern: 4 days per week
Saturday: 1 in 2 Saturday mornings, 9:00am–12:00pm

The clinical team includes experienced Veterinary Surgeons, a Head RVN, RVN, Student Veterinary Nurse and Veterinary Care Assistant, supported by a Practice Manager and experienced Reception team.
The practice offers a strong surgical caseload, including both routine and non-routine procedures. Clinical capabilities include:

This provides the successful Veterinary Surgeon with the opportunity to work across a broad caseload while developing specific clinical interests.
Provide high-quality first-opinion veterinary care across a varied small animal caseload.
Conduct routine and complex consultations.
Undertake routine and non-routine surgical procedures.
Develop and perform surgical procedures in areas of interest, including orthopaedics and soft tissue surgery.
Manage cases confidently and independently.
Undertake occasional sole-charge responsibilities.
Build strong relationships with clients and provide comprehensive clinical advice.
Work collaboratively with the nursing and support teams.
Contribute to the continued expansion of clinical services.
Identify opportunities for new treatments, procedures and equipment.
Participate in CPD and certificate development.
Maintain consistently high standards of patient welfare and client care.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Veterinary Surgeon who is confident in both consultations and surgery.
They should be comfortable with occasional sole-charge work and capable of managing their own caseload independently while remaining a supportive team member.
