Job summary

British Veterinary LGBT+ in Southampton seeks a qualified Veterinary Surgeon to join a compassionate, team‑oriented practice. You will perform 20‑minute consultations, routine surgeries, and manage day‑to‑day cases with specialist support where needed.

Two years of clinical experience and RCVS registration eligibility are preferred. The role offers flexible patterns, no OOH, private healthcare, CPD support, and relocation assistance as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical veterinary experience.
• Strong communication and team-oriented mindset.
• Experience handling complex medical cases desirable.
• Cert holders in soft tissue surgery, orthopaedics, or ophthalmology valued.
• Not suitable for new graduates.

Responsibilities

• Conduct 20-minute consultations and manage blocked emergency slots.
• Perform routine surgeries and manage day-to-day cases independently.
• Engage in daily team discussions for ongoing case management.
• Conduct soft tissue surgeries and orthopaedics, with support from specialists.
• Participate in continual professional development and training.
