We have an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly team at Wakefield Vets for Pets.

Our purpose-built standalone surgery is situated in Wakefield in beautiful West Yorkshire. Only 20 minutes from Leeds and with the Yorkshire Dales on your doorstep, we offer a great blend of city amenities and countryside access.

Being right on the junction of the M1 and M62 makes it an ideal base to explore the rest of the country by car. It is only 2 hours by train to London and 3.5 hours to Edinburgh. We prioritize work/life balance to ensure you enjoy your time outside work.

Our surgery boasts state-of-the-art equipment, including a corneal diamond burr, high-spec ultrasound, surgical equipment for orthopaedic and soft tissue surgeries, and endosurgery equipment for laparoscopic procedures.

This position offers flexible hours, full or part-time, with no out-of-hours or late nights. Ideally, you'll work some Saturday mornings on a fair rota basis, shared with the team, but we are open to suggestions. We seek an experienced vet comfortable with sole charge and handling routine medical and surgical cases.
