This is a brilliant opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon with sole charge experience, who wants to grow in a supportive, well-established practice with flexibility that fits real life. There are opportunities locally for our practice to grow, with a management team including an Ophthalmology and a Surgical Advanced Practitioner who will support you in your role.

About the practice

Our friendly and supportive team combines first-opinion care with Advanced Practitioner-led referral services across surgery, ophthalmology, imaging, and medicine. The practice is well-equipped (including laparoscopy, operating microscope, and advanced orthopaedic/soft tissue kit) and values thorough case workups, strong client relationships, and a pragmatic, client-sensitive approach.

Responsibilities
  • Provide veterinary care with sole-charge responsibility where applicable, within a collaborative team
  • Contribute to the growth and development of services in a multi-disciplinary practice
  • Engage with management and colleagues to support patient care and client communication
  • Participate in regular clinical meetings and quality improvement initiatives
  • Maintain high standards of clinical reasoning, record-keeping, and evidence-based medicine
Qualifications and experience
  • Sole charge experience required or demonstrated capability
  • Interest in developing within a progressive, multi-disciplinary environment
What we offer
  • Collaborative team culture with multiple certificate holders
  • Regular clinical meetings and quality improvement initiatives
  • Wellbeing focus with mental health support and employee assistance
  • Open, no-blame culture with regular 1-to-1s and leadership support
  • Opportunity to develop new services with investment in equipment and training
