Job Description

Introduction

Our Client is a corporately owned Hospital seeking an enthusiastic Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their experienced and friendly team.

Working Hours / Rota

4-day week

1 in 8 weekends

1 night per week on-call (with TOIL)

Salary between £35,000–£60,000 depending on experience

Role Description

The role is suited to a vet with good foundational experience and confidence in routine consultations and surgeries. The caseload is varied and offers opportunities for further development, including certificate study. The hospital is home to both an exotics diplomate and a surgery certificate holder.

Team Size

The team includes 11 vets and over 20 qualified and experienced nurses.

Practice Details

The hospital is purpose-built with six operating theatres, multiple consulting rooms, separate wards for dogs, cats, and exotics, and an in-house laboratory. The hospital runs its own out-of-hours service and is RCVS accredited, with high standards of patient care.

The ideal candidate has built confidence in first opinion consults and surgeries, and is interested in developing their career further, potentially through certificate study. They will be a team player, motivated to deliver high standards of care.
