Purosearch Ltd. is helping an independent small animal practice in Loughborough recruit a Veterinary Surgeon to join their experienced team.

The role offers 38 hours across four weekdays (8:30am–7pm) with clinical freedom and no franchise targets, focusing on patient care. You'll handle a varied caseload including soft tissue surgery, cardiac scans and orthopaedics, with in-house physiotherapy and acupuncture.

Qualifications

• RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon with ideally three or more years of experience.
• Confident with sole-charge responsibilities at weekends and occasionally during the week when required.
• Compassionate vet committed to high standards of patient care.
• Keen to develop clinical skills within an independent practice.

Responsibilities

Are you an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon looking to join an independent practice with an experienced team of vets and a genuinely supportive working environment? Our client is a growing, independent small animal practice in Loughborough. Having opened in early 2024, the practice has already built a loyal client base and is now looking for a Veterinary Surgeon with ideally three or more years of experience to join the team.

The Role

• Full-time position, working 38 hours over four weekdays (8:30am–7pm)
• Clinical freedom, with no financial targets or franchise fees, allowing you to focus on patient care.
• A varied caseload of consultations and surgery, including advanced soft tissue surgery, specialist cardiac scans and orthopaedic procedures.
• In-house physiotherapy and acupuncture services, offering opportunities to develop a broader range of clinical skills.
• The opportunity to work alongside an experienced clinical team, including an Advanced Practitioner in Ophthalmology.
• On-call vets work from home, attending the practice only when required, with an RVN available on call to assist.
• The Monday following your weekend on-call duty is given off in lieu.
