Job Description

Our Client is a corporately owned practice based in Southwest London, seeking a part-time Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly and supportive team following a recent refurbishment and expansion.

The role is part-time, and the rota can be tailored to suit the right candidate’s schedule. Some weekend work may be required, but there are no OOH responsibilities, and sole charge is only occasional, supporting a healthy work/life balance.

The team includes 5 Vets, 4 RVNs, 1 Practice Manager (who is also an RVN), 3 Veterinary Care Assistants and 6 Receptionists. The practice supports two recent graduates and has team interests that include exotic animal medicine.

This position is best suited to an experienced and confident Vet who is self-sufficient in all routine consultations and surgeries and is comfortable with sole charge. The role also includes mentoring two recent graduates. The practice is highly supportive of professional development, offering a generous CPD budget and encouraging certificate study.

The ideal candidate will be a capable all-rounder with a passion for mentoring and a desire to develop or deepen a clinical interest, whether in medicine, surgery, or another area.

The practice is well-equipped with up-to-date IDEXX in-house blood machines, a new ultrasound, rigid endoscope, Tonovet, laser machine, dental X-ray, and a high-spec direct digital X-ray system.
