Job summary

Medivet Chester-le-Street is seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly, close-knit team on a six-month fixed-term basis. You’ll join a supportive team of Veterinary Surgeons, Nurses and Receptionists, with a collaborative approach to patient care in a modern, ISFM-accredited Cat Friendly Clinic.

This full-time 40-hour role across 4 days per week includes a 1 in 5 Saturday morning rota (8:30am–12:00pm).

Qualifications

• Qualified MRCVS with a passion for clinical excellence.
• Experience in a first opinion veterinary practice.
• Willing to commit to a six‑month fixed-term contract.

Looking for your next opportunity to make an impact?Medivet Chester-le-Street is looking for an experienced first opinion Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly, close-knit team on a six-month fixed-term basis.You’ll be joining a supportive team of experienced Veterinary Surgeons, passionate Nurses and welcoming Receptionists, with a great mix of experience and a genuinely collaborative approach to patient care.Based close to the town centre, our spacious and modern practice is well equipped to support a varied first opinion caseload. We have dedicated wards, a large waiting area, spacious prep room and separate imaging suite. We’re also proud to be an ISFM-accredited Cat Friendly Clinic, with a dedicated feline entrance, waiting area and hospital ward.Our Facilities Include

• Digital and dental X-ray
• Endoscopy
• Ultrasound
• In-house haematology and biochemistry analysers
