Job summary

Medivet Chester-le-Street is seeking an experienced first opinion Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly, close-knit team on a six-month fixed-term basis. You’ll be part of a supportive group of Veterinary Surgeons, Nurses, and Receptionists in a modern, ISFM-accredited Cat Friendly Clinic near the town centre.

This full-time role offers a varied caseload, robust facilities, and a friendly environment with ample CPD and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Qualified Veterinary Surgeon with MRCVS and passion for clinical excellence.
• Experience in first opinion practice and client care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional clinical care to patients in consults and surgery to high standards of regulatory and practice compliance.
• Develop tailored treatment plans with clients and work collaboratively within a supportive team.

Medivet Chester-le-Street is looking for an experienced first opinion Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly, close-knit team on a six-month fixed-term basis.

You'll be joining a supportive team of experienced Veterinary Surgeons, passionate Nurses and welcoming Receptionists, with a great mix of experience and a genuinely collaborative approach to patient care.

Based close to the town centre, our spacious and modern practice is well equipped to support a varied first opinion caseload. We have dedicated wards, a large waiting area, spacious prep room and separate imaging suite. We're also proud to be an ISFM-accredited Cat Friendly Clinic, with a dedicated feline entrance, waiting area and hospital ward.

Our facilities include:

• Digital and dental X-ray
• Endoscopy
• Ultrasound
• In-house haematology and biochemistry analysers

This is a full-time, 40-hour role across 4 days per week, with a 1 in 5 Saturday morning rota (8:30am-12:00pm). Salary up to £68,800 DOE
