A bit about us

Carmarthen Veterinary Centre is a purpose-built, award-winning hospital in the heart of West Wales. We're a busy, multi-discipline practice with a highly experienced and supportive team, and we're proud to provide outstanding care across a varied and interesting caseload — including complex orthopaedic and soft tissue surgeries, as well as exotics and wildlife.

We're RCVS accredited and hold awards for:

  • In-patient Service – Outstanding
  • Client Service – Outstanding
  • Patient Consultation Service – Good

You’ll be working alongside 8 small animal vets and a fantastic nursing and support team who enjoy working collaboratively and making the most of everyone's strengths.

The hospital is well equipped, with the recent installation of a CT scanner, further strengthening our diagnostic capabilities. We're always open to developing the service, and you’ll be encouraged to get involved in clinical discussions and decision-making.

Ideally, the preferred candidate will have a surgical bias to help support our wider team.
