Job Description

Our Client is a corporately owned practice seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly and supportive team at their well-established first opinion practice with an additional ophthalmology caseload.

The practice offers access to multi-disciplinary certificate holders in the region, and progression to or support for an existing certificate qualification is actively encouraged.

This is a full-time position, working 4 days per week. However, the practice can offer flexibility, and applicants are encouraged to reach out to discuss specific preferences.

The practice operates a supportive and collaborative team environment, with a focus on delivering exceptional care to both patients and clients. It benefits from a well-equipped facility and offers exposure to a variety of cases, particularly in ophthalmology. The practice is also part of a larger network, allowing for shared learning and professional development.

In this role, the Veterinary Surgeon will deliver exceptional clinical care during consultations and procedures. Responsibilities include providing clients with clear updates on patient progress, preparing tailored treatment and care plans with accurate cost estimates, and ensuring the highest standards of regulatory, practice, and operational compliance. Additionally, the role involves mentoring and developing the team, contributing to clinical handovers, and supporting the wider community by sharing best practices.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced, RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon with a passion for exceptional care. They will demonstrate clinical leadership and be proactive in developing a progressive clinical culture. Experience in supporting nurse consults and schedule 3 procedures, along with the ability to influence and coach colleagues, is highly valued.

The practice is well-equipped for first opinion and ophthalmology cases, with access to advanced diagnostic and treatment tools to support clinical excellence.
