Job summary

Stokewood Veterinary Clinic, part of CVS Veterinary Group in Bournemouth, is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join our small animal team. This is a part-time role at 20 hours per week with flexibility on 2 working days and a 1:4 Saturday morning rota.

You will work alongside vets, nurses, PCAs and receptionists in a supportive, collaborative environment that values high-quality care and teamwork. We invest in learning, offer ongoing training and career development within a friendly practice.

Job description

We're looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our team at Stokewood!

Stokewood Veterinary Clinic is a Small Animal practice with a passionate team of vets, nurses, PCAs and receptionists. We pride ourselves on our friendly and collaborative environment where everyone is supported in providing the best possible care to animals. This is a part time role working 20 hours per week - we can be flexible with the 2 working days! Participation in the 1:4 Saturday morning (8:30am-12:30pm) rota is required.

  • Confident in your clinical skills, you'll be able to take the lead on surgical and medical cases, and carry out diagnostic investigations with precision.

  • Client care comes naturally to you, you know how to create a positive, reassuring experience that builds trust and long-lasting relationships.
  • As an experienced vet, you'll bring a strong level of clinical autonomy and be comfortable handling a varied caseload, offering guidance to the wider team and contributing to shaping clinical standards.
