Job summary

BVS Vets in Bedfordshire is seeking a Veterinary Nurse for a 12 month fixed-term maternity cover. The role supports all nursing duties within a modern, stand-alone practice and a friendly, experienced team of 4 RVNs. You’ll be involved in orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, ultrasound, and more.

Hours are 40 per week with a 4- or 5-day week, no out-of-hours shifts, and a competitive salary starting at £30,000 with CPD support and enhanced benefits.

Qualifications

• Registered Veterinary Nurse with current registration.
• Ability to work across all nursing duties and procedures.
• Flexible and supportive team player with good communication.

A 12 month FTC maternity position has become available for an RVN.

This position would suit all levels of experience. With an experienced and welcoming team on-site, a smooth transition will be enabled and you'll be able to hit the ground running.

A varied role with genuine opportunities to utilise your nursing skills across all areas.

Hours:

This is a full-time role covering 40 hours per week. A 4 or 5 day working week - you decide! 1:4 Saturdays and no out-of-hours shifts.

The practice:

A stand-alone, modern and purpose-built premises with digital/dental X-ray, a full ultrasound suite, fully-equipped surgical theatre, in-house lab, ECG, spacious prep area, large waiting room and much more!

The team:

A multi-vet team with a broad range of experience. 4 RVNs and front of house staff also to compliment.

Skills, interests and additional qualifications include orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, ultrasound, laparoscopy and more!

The package:
