Are you a Registered Veterinary Nurse looking for your next challenge?

Set in a stunning seaside location and next the South Downs National Park, our practice in Littlehampton is an ideal location for anyone who enjoys the outdoors, water sports, dog walking, not to mention the beauty of nearby Arundel and the local High Down vineyard.

Our practice is run by a welcoming and friendly team with a true family atmosphere of Vets, Nurses and support staff, who enjoy walks in our large garden with its popular wildlife unit.

We have 3 consult rooms, prep room and theatre, digital x-ray, endoscopes, rhinoscopy, ultrasound, ECG, Slit Lamp, suction, pulse ox and recently upgraded lab equipment.

The role is offered at 20 Hours a week on a Part time basis.

Role Accountabilities

Exceptional care is at the heart of everything we do at Medivet. That’s the care for our patients, our clients and for each other – we really want to make a positive difference through every interaction we have.

In this role you will:

  • Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients.
  • Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity.
  • Carry out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities.
  • Deliver patient monitoring and care.
  • Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team.
  • Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care.
  • Dispense and check medication.
  • Deliver professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards.
  • Hold briefings to engage and co-ordinate your team to support the most effective running of the practice.

Your Skills and Experience

  • RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
  • Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care.
  • Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.
  • Experience of supporting Nurse consults, with an understanding of how this contributes to practice performance and efficiency.
  • Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
