Your role and responsibilities
We are recruiting a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to support our team of specialists, residents, interns, nurses, and trainee nurses. Our core values ensure exceptional care during day and night shifts. We seek candidates passionate about animal welfare and eager to develop their veterinary knowledge and skills.
You will support inpatient and emergency care across disciplines such as neurology, surgery, oncology, and internal medicine. You will have the opportunity to enhance your skills through a comprehensive induction and the Linnaeus Patient Care Assistant Course, covering animal husbandry, pharmacy, laboratory, and theatre.
This is a full-time (40 hours/week), permanent role with shifts between 7 am-8 pm, including weekends and bank holidays.
As we expand our services, you'll work within an exceptional team and develop your career. Full training and support are provided; prior referral experience is advantageous but not essential.
Career development opportunities: After induction, you may enroll in the Level 2 Veterinary Care Support Assistant apprenticeship, with potential progression to Student Veterinary Nurse.
