Job description

If you are a current Linnaeus Associate, you will need to apply internally. In order to do this, please contact our Talent Acquisition team (details can be found via The Link) and someone will be in touch to discuss and progress your application.

Are you looking for a role that will really strengthen your leadership skills? We have a unique opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Clinical Nursing Manager to join our multi-site team such as Winchmore Hill, Highgate, Garden Suburb, Highbury and Palmers Green. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you'll be empowered to guide, support and mentor our experienced RVN and client care teams to deliver the highest standards of clinical excellence and patient care.

Winchmore Hill is a Primary Care Veterinary hospital, whilst not 24 hour, we do have a night team to look after our patients together with a dental suite. Highbury & Garden are smaller primary care practices that have a very devoted long standing customer base.

We're committed to supporting you in being successful in your role. We've developed a comprehensive 6-month induction program that will ensure you're equipped with the knowledge needed to effectively lead the team. But the training and development opportunities won't stop there - you'll be supported to join our market-leading leadership CPD programs that will help strengthen your skills and future career opportunities.

The role:

  • Working closely with the Clinical Director and other senior team members to spot opportunities and embed changes that enable your team to deliver the highest quality clinical and operational standards
  • Leading a team of 11 direct reports across 3 sites supporting the team with training and development and providing leadership in day to day requirements.
  • Using your clinical skills and knowledge to provide the team with supportive guidance across varied and complex cases and procedures.
  • Being part of the Senior Leadership Team you will be the voice for the nursing team whilst adhering to clinical standards and patient safety and care.
The team:

Primarily based at our Winchmore Hill site, you'll also be responsible for the team in Highbury and Garden. There's a broad range of experience across the team but one key thing brings us together - our pride in our exceptional reputation. We're dedicated to driving clinical and service excellence, but we ensure we also have lots of opportunities to come together for team activities, some of our recent events have included 'around the world food day'

What we're looking for:

  • Qualified RVN
  • Management and leadership experience
  • Clinical experience to enable coaching and mentoring of the team.
What we offer:

  • 5-weeks holiday plus bank holidays and birthday leave
  • Relocation support
  • RCVS and VDS fees paid
  • Employer contribution pension scheme
  • Life assurance
  • Enhanced equal family leave
  • Extensive internal and funded external CPD
At Linnaeus, we are committed to supporting the physical and mental health of all our Associates.
