Job summary

CVS Group's Active Vetcare - Tilehurst Veterinary Centre in Tilehurst, Reading seeks a Clinical Director to lead a busy small-animal practice. You will inspire and mentor vets, RVNs and support staff, upholding high clinical standards and outstanding client care.

This permanent role is 40 hours per week (open to part-time) with salary up to 85k FTE, dependent on experience. You will drive service improvements, monitor KPIs, and promote a collaborative, forward-thinking culture.

Qualifications

• Must be a veterinary surgeon with leadership experience.
• Ability to mentor and develop colleagues.
• Strong communication and client-focused approach.
• Commercially aware with ability to balance clinical and business outcomes.
• Experienced Clinical Director or leadership role preferred.
• A natural team leader capable of fostering engagement.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality clinical care while driving improvements.
• Lead and support the veterinary team to achieve clinical and commercial outcomes.
• Collaborate with Regional Director and business leaders to support practice success.
• Monitor financial performance, KPIs and operational metrics.
• Identify opportunities to introduce new services and growth.
