Job summary

IVC Evidensia is seeking a Veterinary Care Assistant for Elm Vets on a part-time fixed-term basis for 12 months. The role supports the clinical team with patient and client care, including inpatient care, patient handling, and maintaining clinical spaces. 3 shifts across Mon-Fri, no OOHs or weekends.

The successful candidate will bring a caring ethos, strong communication and organisational skills, and a proactive learning mindset, with prior animal experience considered advantageous.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Veterinary Care Assistant to join our team at Elm Vets on a part-time fixed-term basis for 12 months.

We provide high-quality first-opinion veterinary care from our very experienced team, this includes orthopaedics, medicine and complementary therapies such as acupuncture. We are a fun team who like to socialise and nothing is more important than cake!

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Veterinary Care Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the clinical team to deliver high standards of patient and client care, while helping to ensure the practice environment runs smoothly and safely.

Working under the direction of a Veterinary Surgeon or Registered Veterinary Nurse, you'll support inpatient care, assist with patient handling and restraint, help maintain clinical areas and equipment, and contribute to a positive and compassionate experience for both patients and clients.

Working Pattern

• This is a part-time role working 28.5 hours per week.
• 3 x 8am-6pm (9.5hrs) Mon-Fri No OOHs or weekends
