Job summary

Hamilton Specialist Referrals in Buckinghamshire near High Wycombe is seeking a Veterinary Care Assistant to support the clinical team, ensuring high standards of patient and client care in a busy 24-hour hospital.

You will handle patient restraint, kennel care, lab tasks, theatre support, sterilisation of instruments and assist with procedures, with opportunities to develop into Student Veterinary Nurse roles.

Qualifications

• Reliable and motivated, able to work as part of a team.
• Good communication and collaborative skills with colleagues and clients.
• Strong organisational skills to manage tasks in a busy environment.
• Proactive attitude to learning and openness to feedback.
• Experience with animals in clinical or non-clinical settings is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support the clinical team to deliver high standards of patient and client care.
• Handle patient restraint, kennel care, lab tasks and instrument sterilisation.
• Assist with theatre operations and procedures; oversee dispensing duties.
• Maintain a clean and safe practice environment and support routine operations.
