Job summary

Vets for Pets Greenford is hiring a Veterinary Care Assistant on a maternity contract to support non-clinical duties and help provide outstanding pet care. The role is full-time, 40 hours a week, with 1 in 3 weekends and a fixed-term of up to 1 year.

You will be the friendly face for clients and their pets, assist colleagues, and help keep the practice running smoothly. Training will be across Greenford and Brentford practices.

Veterinary Care Assistant - Maternity Contract

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate Veterinary Care Assistant to join our Greenford Vets for Pets practice.

Our practice is bright, spacious, air-conditioned and purpose built to industry leading standards and has state of the art equipment including digital X-ray and in-house laboratory facilities.

You will assist all colleagues with non-clinical duties to support smooth running of the practice and provide the best standard of patient care.

This a great opportunity for someone who is looking to progress into a student nurse role in the future.

This is a Full-Time position working 40 hours per week. This will include working 1 in 3 weekends. This will be a fixed term position of up to 1 year.

• You are the friendly and welcoming face for the client and their pets when they arrive at the practice.
• You can provide guidance by keeping yourself fully up-to-speed with the practice services and any additional services available.

• You will bring enthusiasm and drive to your role. Your passion for service is matched with your love of pets.
• You can deal with everything that is thrown at you, from comforting a client who has had some bad news about their pet or sharing in the joy of a new puppy’s first visit to the vet.
• Your personality is infectious and along with your fellow colleagues, you create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere in the practice.
