inspiring vet care is seeking a Veterinary Care Assistant for Grove Lodge Vets in Worthing. The role is full-time, hospital-based with flexibility to cover branches, and involves supporting the clinical team to deliver high standards of patient and client care.

You'll work under Vets and Nurses, assist with inpatient care, animal handling, and equipment, while contributing to a compassionate client experience. A proactive learner with teamwork mindset is valued.

Qualifications

• Caring, professional approach with genuine interest in animal welfare.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with colleagues and clients.
• Strong organisational skills to manage tasks in a busy environment.
• Proactive attitude to learning and openness to feedback and development.
• Experience with animals in clinical or non-clinical settings is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inpatient care under supervision of Vets and Nurses.
• Keep practice areas clean and tidy.
• Run samples in the in-house lab and report results to vets.
• Assist in operating theatre with surgeries and prepare animals for procedures.
• Care for wildlife brought in and contribute to treatments.
• Assist with reception duties as needed.
