Job summary

Vets for Pets Wallasey is seeking a passionate Client Care Advisor / Veterinary Care Assistant for a 12-month maternity cover. The role is part-time (17.5 hours weekly, Monday to Friday) with a salary in line with the National Minimum Wage.

The practice is bright, with modern equipment and a focus on exceptional pet care. The role includes supporting non-clinical duties, assisting with clinical animal care, and maintaining strong client service and reception responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Empathetic and passionate about animal care.
• Experience in reception/front-of-house duties is beneficial.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate Client Care Advisor / Veterinary Care Assistant to join our Wallasey Vets for Pets practice.

Our practice is bright, spacious, air-conditioned and purpose built to industry leading standards and has state of the art equipment including digital X-ray and in-house laboratory facilities.

• Client Care Advisor duties will include assisting all colleagues with non-clinical duties to support smooth running of the practice and provide the best standard of patient care.
• Veterinary Care Assistant responsibilities will involve supporting with clinical care of animals, so a high standard of animal care skills and experience are required.

This a great opportunity for someone who is looking to progress into a student nurse role in the future.

This is a 12-month maternity cover role, working 17.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a salary in line with National Minimum Wage. Weekend opening may be introduced in the future.

• The role involves animal handling and predominantly supporting the veterinary team in all aspects of clinical practice, therefore we are ideally looking for candidates with previous experience.
• There will be significant reception and front of house responsibility with the role therefore you will also need to have strong communication and customer service skills.
