How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Veterinary Care Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the clinical team to deliver high standards of patient and client care, while helping to ensure the practice environment runs smoothly and safely.

Working under the direction of a Veterinary Surgeon or Registered Veterinary Nurse, you’ll support inpatient care, assist with patient handling and restraint, help maintain clinical areas and equipment, and contribute to a positive and compassionate experience for both patients and clients.

Working Pattern

  • four or five days per week plus a share of Saturdays

Key Responsibilities

We are looking for a Veterinary Care Assistant with a positive can do attitude, excellent communication skills, and a love of pets and people. Confident and with a naturally caring disposition, you will fit seamlessly alongside our friendly practice teams as you help to provide a quality experience for pet owners and pets alike.

The Veterinary Care Assistant role is important in providing support to our Veterinary Surgeons and Nursing team, working collaboratively to provide outstanding care to our patients. This role will involve animal handling and restraint, inpatient care, general cleaning and maintenance, reception cover, and peri-operative support for our surgical patients.
