Job summary

Medivet & Partners is seeking a Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA) to support nurses and vets with in-patient procedures and pet care, delivering exceptional care to clients, patients and colleagues. You will join a team that values and supports you, with responsibilities including surgeries, monitoring, and day-to-day pet care.

You’ll work 1 in 3 weekends (TOIL), on-call and bank holiday duties, while maintaining high standards of client service and teamwork in a busy practice environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in pet care or veterinary support preferred.
• Ability to prioritise and remain calm under pressure.
• Strong teamwork and communication with clients, patients, and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional care to clients, supporting surgeries and procedures.
• Provide patient monitoring and daily care for pets (walking, feeding, toileting).
• Work collaboratively within a supportive team.
• Cover 1 in 3 full weekends (with TOIL), on-call and bank holiday duties.
