Job summary

Vets for Pets in Farnborough is seeking a Veterinary Care Assistant to support vets and nurses in daily animal care and client service. The role is 40 hours per week, including some weekend work, and operates within a busy veterinary practice.

You will contribute to clean, efficient clinical areas and a compassionate client experience, helping the team deliver high standards of care for every patient.

Qualifications

• You’ll be caring, reliable and passionate about animal welfare, with a positive attitude and great communication skills.
• You’ll enjoy working as part of a team, be comfortable in a busy environment and understand that veterinary practice can be emotional.
• Previous animal care or veterinary experience would be beneficial, but enthusiasm and compassion are valued.

We’re looking for a caring and enthusiastic Veterinary Care Assistant to join our friendly team at Farnborough Vets for Pets.

You’ll play an important role in supporting our vets and nurses, helping to care for our patients and keeping the practice running smoothly. It’s a varied role that’s perfect for someone who loves animals, enjoys being part of a busy team and isn’t afraid to get stuck in.

What you’ll be doing

About you

• You’ll enjoy working as part of a team, be comfortable in a busy environment and understand that veterinary practice can sometimes be emotional as well as incredibly rewarding.
• Previous animal care or veterinary experience would be beneficial, but above all, we’re looking for someone with enthusiasm, compassion and a genuine love of pets.

This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week, including 1 in 3 weekends with a salary in line with national minimum wage

Weekday shifts

• 8:30am - 4:45pm
• 11:00am - 7:15pm

Weekend shifts

• Saturday: 9:00am - 5:00pm
• Sunday: 10:00am - 4:00pm
